EVS8820 is an extension unit designed to work seamlessly with the EVM8810, which acts as the system's central control unit. It extends the coverage of the voice alarm system by increasing the number of speaker zones beyond the 8-zone capacity of the EVM8810. With a single EVS8820, the system can support up to 16 speaker zones, and up to two EVS8820 units can be added to extend the installation to a maximum of 24 zones. This provides greater flexibility for larger BGM and voice evacuation applications.
